Bosco [Wood] is a multimedia installation consisting of second-hand artificial Christmas trees arranged to bring to mind a mountain slope.
For me, the artificial forest of Bosco is a set of fetishes representing families, or even a family of families. This is not only because of the meaning commonly attributed to the Christmas tree as a symbol of family unity and celebration, but also and especially because the trees on display have been used for years and years, by families who have since disposed of them. Consequently, in addition to the family, it seems to me that Bosco can therefore also speak of the sense of transience through the ages of life and the feelings attached to them.
Furthermore, there is a second possible key to the interpretation, that of the artificial-natural couple. Bosco‘s installation is a surprisingly effective representation, despite being made with poor means, of what we commonly perceive as natural. It declares at the same time its own fiction: just look at its lower edges, which show the metal and plastic bases supporting the first trees. The disappearing forests on a planetary scale find here a kind of simulacrum, composed moreover of plastic, one of the great environmental enemies of our time.

Tretje delo z naslovom Les je novejše. To te zbirka 98 zavrženih in ponovno naidenih plastičnih božičnih dreves, ki se razlikujejo po višini in volumnu, po teksturi zelenih iglic (nekatera so podobna borom, druga smrekam), nekatera so stareiša, druga novejša… Avtor jih je zložil v monumentalno instalacijo. Vsa drevesa je dobil od prijateljev ali na bolšjih trgih ter jih organiziral v iglasti gozd, s čimer je poudaril prepad med umetnim in naravnim. «Zanimal me fetiš družine, ki nastaja ob božičnem drevesu, na katerem se kaže vsa dinamika in dogajanje v družini, v kateri lahko otroci odrastejo ali pa se družina razbije. Božično drevo ni toliko tradicionalen symbol religioznih ljudi kot symbol potrošništva, saj pod božično drevo postavljamo darila», meni avtor. «Ko sem drevesa organiziral v gozd, sem se dotaknil tudi teme individualnosti, kajti vsa drevesa so različna po podobi, a enaka po vsebini, kot so naša življenja in ljudje v njih».

Second-hand artificial Christmas trees arranged to bring to mind a mountain slope.
Between the years 2010-2012 the installation had continued to grow thanks to the addition of new trees, until it reached the number of 290 Christmas trees.
The installation includes an audio track recorded in the woods.
Bosco (2010-2012): 290 second-hand artificial Christmas trees and one audio track played by a speaker system, forming a single work. The trees are partially supported by a metal frame structure made of aluminium hollow profiles.
